The tripod of the future has a motor, a network connection and is AI‑READY.
The Second Wave RoboLift Small is a compact camera tripod with motorised height adjustment, an integrated wheeled base and a payload capacity of 15 kg. The camera height can be adjusted between 82 and 132 cm using the supplied remote control.
With the separately available Second Wave Robotic Data Box , the height axis can be integrated into a network via VISCA and controlled centrally. RoboLift Small therefore represents a new generation of tripods: motorised, networked and open to automated production workflows.
The fourth controllable axis for PTZ cameras
PTZ cameras control pan, tilt and zoom. RoboLift Small adds controllable camera height to these functions, providing the missing fourth axis.
Different shooting heights can be selected without directly adjusting the tripod. This allows the camera to be adapted to seated or standing people as well as changing shot compositions.
Conventional cameras can also be used. With these cameras, only the height is adjusted by motor.
AI‑READY and open to the future
Network control provides the basis for integration into central control systems as well as open and closed AI systems. The specific functionality depends on the respective software and integration. AI-based image analysis is not included.
Integration with Bitfocus Companion is planned. Until development has been completed, it is not part of the standard functionality.
RoboLift Small is the first AI‑READY tripod in the RoboLift product class developed by Second Wave and transfers functions from professional Motorised Pedestals to compact camera tripods.

Fewer manual adjustments in everyday production
The motorised height adjustment simplifies repeated changes and saves time during setup. The integrated wheeled base allows the tripod to be repositioned on suitable level floors. An integrated levelling adjustment supports horizontal alignment.
The base can be folded for transport and storage. The tripod weighs 6.7 kg and has a transport length of 70 cm. An independent power supply is optionally available.
